Come and join us at the Todmorden Learning Centre and Community Hub on Burnley Road between 10 am & 3 pm on Saturday 23rd April.

The sponsors for the projects featured in the Town Deal bid will be on hand to discuss their early-stage business cases being developed for the final sign off by the Board, Calderdale Council and the government department for Levelling up.

Members of the Town Deal local expert panels on Sustainability, Inclusion and Youth Engagement will also be on hand for ‘conversation’ sessions on how they can support and ensure the Board and all projects address these important issues for our town. (You will need to book for these sessions see below).

The open day is not about what we spend the Towns Fund on but how we develop the projects within the already agreed funding for those projects.

Come along and hear how we developed the bid, chose the projects and what the next steps are.

We will be open from 10 am to 3 pm for conversation in general. If you are specifically interested in inputting into one of the Panels on Sustainability, Inclusion or Youth Engagement please book via the following links to join those conversation huddles. Numbers are limited to 15 per conversation so book early.

We look forward to seeing you on the day!

Inclusion Panel Conversation

The Todmorden Deal investment programme must work for everyone. To ensure we hear the voices and understand the gifts of all, we need the help of a cross-section of local people who have ideas and experience to ensure we go beyond words and create a really positive and inclusive legacy for all.

Time: 11 am – 12 pm

Sustainability Panel Conversation

We’re serious about making Todmorden a beacon of sustainable living. A market town that leads the way in growing local supply chains, skills for the future and investment in natural capital from the town centre to our uplands.

Time: 12 pm – 1 pm

Youth Panel Conversation

This Town Deal is about the sort of future we want for our town. Young people have to be at the heart of our thinking. That’s why one of the first things we did was talk to young people up to 24 years of age and produce a first cut of our strategy for youth.

Time: 2 pm – 3 pm
