An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to welcome new board members to join us in the next phase of the Todmorden Town Deal Investment Plan. We currently have vacancies for up to three new board members to join a skills-based and team focused board.
The current board members are aware that the make-up of the board needs to be more diverse and inclusive. Ideally, the current vacancies would suit members of the community and business sector with relevant skills. We are particularly interested to hear from the under 35s demographic and people from minority communities in the town e.g. disabled or ethnic.
We are committed to drawing in more investment to the town and to making it a better place to live, work and visit. A zero net carbon driver is also a priority for us. Board membership is voluntary. It comes with legal responsibilities which are aligned to the accountable body’s responsibility on good governance and financial accountability. The roles and responsibilities are outlined in our Terms of Reference which can be found here on our website.
UPDATE 5TH JAN 2022: Applications are now closed. Thanks to those who have put their names forward. We are now progressing to selections, which will be proposed and ratified at the next board meeting on 20th January.
