Bringing the bandstand in Todmorden’s Centre Vale Park back into use for outdoor performances could bring in almost £2.2m to the local economy over three years according to a report commissioned by the Todmorden Town Deal Board.
The new Wheels Park in Centre Vale Park Todmorden is great news for skateboard, scooter and BMX enthusiasts and has been designed with the help of wheels park users coordinated by Todmorden Town Council and young people from Todmorden High School.
Todmorden’s growing reputation for innovating eco-friendly solutions is one step closer with Cargodale, the town’s electric cargobike delivery service, moving into a new home in Todmorden Market Hall, thanks to investment from Todmorden Town Deal Board’s Accelerator fund.

Over 150 people took part in Todmorden’s first Citizens’ Assembly to find out more about the vision and projects in development for the Town Investment Plan. Through the Town Investment Plan, Todmorden stands to win up to £25M government funding towards a brighter future for the town.
Todmorden’s young Scouts are out and about delivering postcards calling for people to join in the town’s new Citizens Assembly taking place in the New Year – helping spread the word about how people can be involved in a bid for government funding for economic regeneration projects in the town.
